For some, we’re a business partner and mentor. For others, we’re a source of information and contacts. For all, we’re a business champion. That’s because we’re the no. 1 supporter of business in Waterford. Our job is to drive the business agenda, the college agenda and the Waterford agenda. We’re passionate about the city and want to make things happen.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a start up or established business, everyone needs help and support from time to time. And that’s where we come in. We connect people and create opportunities. We offer advice, training and support. We influence decisions.
We’re Waterford Chamber. Your Business Champion.
A powerful voice with local government
We represent the views of the Waterford business community on local and regional issues. We work closely with elected and appointed officials to ensure that matters important to our members, and the community at large, are recognised and addressed.
Helping local companies grow
We’re always looking to help local companies grow and develop through education seminars and training courses. We also work hard to attract outside companies, foreign and domestic, to the city and region. The way we see it, our job is to drive the Waterford agenda. We’re passionate about the city and want to make things happen.
Working together to support your business
We work closely with other organisations such as Waterford City Council, Waterford City Enterprise Board, Enterprise Ireland, IDA, WIT, Waterford Area Partnership, Failte Ireland, IBEC, American Chamber of Commerce Ireland and Waterford LEDC. By joining forces and pooling resources, we can accomplish much more than working alone.
The Chamber receives hundreds of inquiries every year from people looking for services. Our policy is to refer business exclusively to our members. All we ask is that they mention us when contacting our members. That way, our members know where they’re from and a certain trust is established.
Building your business profile
Has something special happened in your business? Have you won a prestigious award or opened a new office? Whatever it is, why not let your fellow Chamber members know? Using our monthly email newsletter and website member news section, you can tell everyone what’s new and exciting in your business.
Expanding your business knowledge
The Chamber hosts a variety of events on topics of interest to our members. We’re always looking for new subjects to cover so feel free to let us know what interests you most.
Membership has its privileges
Members often offer a special rate or small discount when doing business with a fellow member. Not only is it a direct saving for the member customer, but it’s a goodwill gesture that may lead to repeat business and customer referrals for the member supplier.
