'Sounds of the Sea' Exhibition

Athenaeum Sounds of the Sea

Athenaeum House Hotel are excited to announce Brian Merriman will open an exhibition of paintings by Mailo Power, at Athenaeum House Hotel, Waterford at 8pm this Friday, 24th of November, 2017.

Drop into the opening on Friday at 8pm, all welcome.

SOUNDS OF THE SEA Exhibition will be on display at the Athenaeum House Hotel from 8pm on Friday, November 24th to December 15th, 2017.

The paintings include Waterford coastal locations such as Councillors Strand and Shanoon Point, the Waterford based artist says the paintings in her exhibition are inspired by the “ever-changing aspects of the sea."

Mailo first attended Waterford Institute of Technology where she completed a BA(hons) in Art & Society in 2005 before going on to achieve a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the University of Gloucestershire, UK in 2007. 

Mailo now lives and paints in Dunmore East, Co. Waterford.
