Michael Doody appointed Manager of the Nagle Centre

Nagle Centre Michael DoodyMichael Doody has recently been appointed Manager of the Nagle Centre.

Michael has previously worked as Manufacturing Manager at Bausch & Lomb and is looking forward to developing his role at the Nagle Centre.

Since 2003, the Nagle Centre, located in Lisduggan has been providing a wide range of computer training courses to the local community.

Michael said, “The Nagle Centre is a great organisation to join.  It has provided I.T. training courses to the local community for almost 15 years and the range, skills level and diversity of people who have undertaken courses is phenomenal.”

“The beauty of the Nagle Centre is its accessibility to those in the community who are job-seekers, looking to improve their employment or career prospects or simply looking to learn a new computing skill.”

“All ages come through the doors here and that gives the Centre a warm community feel to it. Many of our students are seniors who want to gain a better understanding of basic computing applications, while on the opposite side of the spectrum we have professionals who are looking to upskill their already proficient IT knowledge to further their careers.”

“Our courses are designed to suit those of different abilities and levels of competence. So, if you are a beginner looking to find your way around the maze that is the internet or a proficient IT user, you’ll certainly find the course to suit you in the Nagle Centre.”

Michael will undertake the development of new programmes for the 2018 training schedule along with developing relationships with local businesses and the community and build networkswithin the community, schools, business and trainers.

Michael added “We are particularly excited about the introduction of our new customised training programme. Aimed at the SME and corporate markets we can devise bespoke computer training schedules for those who need specific training relating to their jobs, for example data analysis, programming and book-keeping. Our trainers can work with employers on or off site and devise the exact programme to suit their specific needs.”
