Nagle Centre to provide free Agfood training for farmers

Nagle CentreWaterford Nagle Centre has teamed up with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide free Agfood Training for farmers.

Starting on Wednesday, November 22nd the course is designed to help farmers become more proficient in computer use, with modules including an introduction to Internet; Online safety and purchasing online and the set-up of a valid current e-mail address. 

More specifically, the course will guide and inform farmers about registration to www.agfood.ie, which is the site for viewing herd profiles and registration of calf births, CMMS compliance, animal change of ownership, online movement of animals, submission of online payment applications and viewing of historical reports on previous years of animals kept and payments received.

The course will run each Wednesday for five weeks and is free, although spaces are limited and pre-booking is essential.

Since 2003, the Nagle Centre has been providing a wide range of IT and computer training courses to the local community. The courses are designed to suit those of different abilities and levels of competence.
