Business of the Week

Galánta Events is re-branding as Events by Carmel Grant.

EventsbyCarmelGrant

The same creative corporate event management services will continue to be provided; planning, organising and managing corporate events while still maintaining the personal touch.

Carmel has a vast experience coordinating and implementing a wide range of prominent events ranging from corporate groups, conferences and trade shows, exhibitions, and fundraising and bespoke events. Most recently Carmel coordinated an international executive group of delegates visiting a Waterford based company, Fastform Medical that included coordinating transport, accommodation, activities, entertainment, meetings and meals. Carmel collaborated with JE Warren on the inaugural Community Connect Conference 2017, the first ever conference for the Community, Voluntary and Charity sector in the South East, held in the Tower Hotel.

Among the main conference speakers was Ivan Cooper, director of Advocacy for The Wheel and keynote speaker Fr. Peter McVerry. From 2011 to 2016, Carmel had the honour of developing, coordinating and managing the Waterford Writers’ Weekend Festival with the Waterford City & County Library Services and Arts Office. The Waterford Writers' Weekend festival, a Waterford City & County Library Services initiative, celebrates the art and the craft of writing. The festival hosts a series of panel discussion events, talks, readings and workshops, in many venues around Waterford City and County and is now a part of the Imagine Arts Festival.

From individuals and groups to large audiences, transport to accommodation, meetings to activities and speakers to scheduling; Carmel Grant can coordinate it all.

What Our Members Say

“Waterford is a very attractive location for Foreign Direct Investment as it is a dynamic city which is very much open for business – the city has a proven track record of attracting investment from start-ups and expanding business, who are hugely supported by Waterford Chamber. The city, county and region offers a young, well educated workforce and is easily accessible for international visitors. Waterford’s quality of life for employees is exceptional as it blends elements of rich cultural heritage with a new and vibrant lifestyle – with new additions such as the Greenway further showcasing the county to not only locals, but visitors from all over Ireland and overseas. The Chamber has been a vital link in welcoming our companies into the local Business Community – helping them not only network, but also gain a sense of community and belonging”.

Brendan McDonald Regional Manager, South East Region IDA
