The Connecting for Growth programme is designed to facilitate increased business between companies from Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland through a cross border networking event and two Meet the Buyer events.

 

The annual Connecting for Growth cross border networking event at Titanic Belfast on15 March 2017 provides attendees with the opportunity to:

 

  • Hear from our Keynote Speaker, John Hurley Head of B2B, Partner and Channel Marketing, DAA
  • Network with 180+ delegates across a range of sectors
  • Engage in structured networking sessions increasing cross border business opportunities
  • Hear from and obtain advice from a leading panel of experts that will assist you in developing your business
  • Find out who the buyers are and how to apply for a meeting at the upcoming Connecting for Growth Meet the Buyer Event

EOY 2017 – Open For Nominations!

 

Now in its 20th Year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ (EOY™) 2017 programme officially opens today for nominations. The theme of this year’s programme is “Leading through Change” and all sectors and businesses of all sizes are invited to submit their nominations up until the 22 February. The 24 finalists for 2017 will be announced on 27 April.

The benefits of participation extend far beyond winning the award in October. The successful finalists will gain national and international exposure, gaining media profile across TV, radio, print and online. They will also connect with our exclusive network of over 450 of Ireland’s top entrepreneurs and get an opportunity to go on our renowned international CEO Retreat which is designed to help Irish entrepreneurs transform their thinking and vision through executive education and hearing from some of the world’s leading CEOs.”

 

He continued: “As we are witnessing unprecedented change in the business and political landscape both at home and globally, the theme of this year’s programme is “Leading through Change” and at EY we see it as our responsibility to help finalists take advantage of these challenges and uncertainties so they can continue to grow and maximise their potential.”

 

Who can be nominated?

Operating in more than 60 countries worldwide, EOY is recognised as the most prestigious business accolade for entrepreneurs. The programme is open to entrepreneurs across all sectors and growth stages, across the island of Ireland. The awards programme is divided into three categories – Emerging, Industry and International – with 8 finalists chosen per category. The 24 finalists will be selected by an independent panel of judges, comprised of former EOY winners and chaired by Anne Heraty of CPL Resources plc.

A panel of influential international speakers and partners in the highly-successful, international initiative will describe their regions’ experiences of stimulating regional innovation and developing regional partnership models. Delegates will also hear about the implementation of the South East Action Plan for Jobs and from those targeting the growth of specific industry sectors in the region.

 

The free conference also explores how industry and research institutions can better collaborate to deliver Innovation that meets Industry needs. The event is of particular interest to those involved in sectors such as agriculture and digital media, pharmaceutical, medtech, advanced manufacturing as well as ICT in tourism.
